Course Catalog Description

Theoretical and empirical approaches to the explanation of psychological dysfunction. The relation between theories of psychopathology and theories of intervention. A critical evaluation of the effects of individual, family, and community approaches to therapeutic and preventive intervention. Thematic focus of the course may change from year to year. See department notices for details.

Class Notes

All seats in Psych Upper Division classes are reserved for declared Psych majors in Phase 1. The WL is open to all.

Additional seats will be added in Phase 2, and the Psych Only enrollment restriction will be removed.

Credit Restrictions

Students will receive no credit for PSYCH 130 after completing PSYCH S130, PSYCH S130X, or PSYCH N130. A deficient grade in PSYCH 130 may be removed by taking PSYCH N130.
