Class Description
Codebreaking at Cal is an introduction to the field of cryptography, the study of communicating securely in the presence of malicious adversaries (protecting secret information from being read by third parties). Particular emphasis is given to real-world examples of breaking cryptography, as well as the mathematical foundations behind cryptographic primitives. We strongly prefer that you have completed CS 61A and CS 70 (or equivalent experience).
