Course Catalog Description
This course is designed to introduce students to the major theoretical approaches to international politics, to explore important historical and contemporary questions and debates in international affairs, and to teach students to think critically about international relations. It is a prerequisite for most upper division international relations courses in Political Science.

Rules & Requirements
Requisites
- Enrollment in this course is restricted to first semester students participating in the Fall Program for First Semester (FPF). Non-FPF students are not permitted to enroll in this course.
Credit Restrictions
Students will receive no credit for XPOLSCI 5 after completing POL SCI 5. A deficient grade in XPOLSCI 5 may be removed by taking POL SCI 5, or POL SCI 5.
Repeat Rules
Course is not repeatable for credit.
