Course Catalog Description
Advanced study in sociology, with specific topics to be announced at the beginning of each semester.
Class Description
This capstone seminar will explore the politics of reproductive freedom in comparative and historical perspective. We will examine connections between political economy, race, patriarchy, the regulation of reproduction, and the concept and practice of freedom. The geographic focus will be the Americas and the temporal span will be from 17th-century to today.
