Course Catalog Description

The Berkeley Seminar Program has been designed to provide new students with the opportunity to explore an intellectual topic with a faculty member in a small-seminar setting. Berkeley Seminars are offered in all campus departments, and topics vary from department to department and semester to semester.

Class Description

The goal of this Freshman Seminar is to bring students and faculty together to explore issues such as global environmental change, policy and management of natural resources, sustainable rural and urban environments, and environmental leadership. The seminar will provide students and faculty a forum to exchange ideas, challenge one another's thinking, and share experiences in a small group setting. Students will have the opportunity to do research and teach their peers about regional to global environmental issues in preparation for Theme Program field trips and guest speakers. Course enrollment is restricted to Global Environmental Theme House participants. Obtain CEC from the instructor. Location Clark Kerr Campus (room TBD)
