Class Description
In the Introduction to Health Sustainability DeCal, we will delve into the world of health and sustainability, exploring the connections between our personal well-being and the health of the planet. Throughout the semester, we will explore key topics such as food and agricultural systems, the surprising correlations between the outdoors and mental health, and the cultural and economic views that shape our understanding of health. We will also study the impact of pollution on marginalized communities, and the effects that global warming has on disease, as well as discuss the various career paths available in the burgeoning field of health sustainability. Join us on this exciting journey as we explore the intricate connections between human health and the health of our planet!
