Course Catalog Description
Group study of special topics in environmental science, policy, and management that are not covered in depth in regular courses in the department.
Class Description
The course will focus on providing an introduction into the benefits of composting while taking a look at how vermicomposting differs from traditional compost by visiting the worm bin at Clark Kerr Gardens. Some topics covered will be the history and science of composting, worm anatomy, the harm caused by artificial fertilizers, and how to create your own worm bin at home.
