INFORMATION FOR NON-MSW STUDENTS:
MSW courses are held for MSW students until the first day of instruction for the course.
Other UC Berkeley degree-earning students may put themselves on the waitlist starting on January 14th. To be considered for enrollment into a MSW course:
1. Put yourself on the waitlist on or after January 14th
2. Express interest to the instructor via e-mail. If an instructor does not have an e-mail listed on the UC Berkeley online directory, wait until the first day of class to express interest.
3. Show up to the first day of class.
4. On the first day of class, if space is available and the instructor grants permission, they will e-mail the Berkeley Social Welfare Student Services team to add you to the course.
Students are prioritized off of the waitlist in the following order:
1. MSW students
2. Other UCB graduate students
3. Social Welfare undergraduate students
4. Other UCB undergraduate students
5. Concurrent Enrollment students through UC Extension
Individuals who are not degree-earning students at UC Berkeley but wish to enroll in MSW courses may apply through UC Extension as a Concurrent Enrollment student. However, Concurrent Enrollment applicants will likely not know the outcome of your request to add until, at the earliest, the week before classes start.
Berkeley Social Welfare finalizes all enrollments on Friday, February 4th. No students will be added to MSW courses for Spring 2022 after Friday, February 4th. show less
