Course Catalog Description
Research seminar on selected topics in biogeography.
Class Description
This broad biogeographical course provides opportunities for students to develop individual or group-based projects that align with their ongoing research interests. Areas of inquiry include topics related to the distribution of and abundance of Earth’s biota, anthropogenic landscapes and the intersections of bio-physical-human geography, geospatial analysis and remote sensing approaches, field methods including drone imagery, and the fusion of quantitative and qualitative methods. Students determine their own criteria for course performance grading aimed to align with their intended outcomes.
