Class Description
On any given night in the US, over 550,000 people are unhoused, mostly concentrated in major cities. This seminar explores the origins of the homelessness crisis and why lack of shelter remains a social emergency. Drawing on recent examples from California and elsewhere, the seminar also critically investigates policy, planning, and design strategies aimed at housing the unhoused.
