Course Catalog Description
An introduction to probability, emphasizing concepts and applications. Conditional expectation, independence, laws of large numbers. Discrete and continuous random variables. Central limit theorem. Selected topics such as the Poisson process, Markov chains, characteristic functions.
Class Notes
The Stat 134 Lecture is remote and most discussion sections are in-person except Dis 101 (MW 8am) and Dis 109 (MW 6pm) which will be held remotely. Priority is given to students who are unable to come to campus for due to visa, health or other personal issues.
