Course Catalog Description
Matrices, vector spaces, linear transformations, inner products, determinants. Eigenvectors. QR factorization. Quadratic forms and Rayleigh's principle. Jordan canonical form, applications. Linear functionals.

Section 2 of MATH 110 (MWF 2-3pm) will have a small number of online discussion sections only for students who are not on campus.

Section 2 of MATH 110 (MWF 2-3pm) will have a small number of online discussion sections only for students who are not on campus.
If you WILL BE on campus in fall 2021: All lectures and discussion sections will be in-person. All students in Section 1 and 2 of MATH 110 (MWF 12-1pm) will take attendance polls during lectures and sections. The polls are educational, fun, and interactive. Exams will be offered only in person at the same time as lectures and during the default final exam time.
If you will NOT be on campus in fall 2021, you must enroll in Section 2 of MATH 110 (MWF 2-3pm), where a small number of online discussion sections will be offered only to students who are not on campus and who have completed a google form set by the instructor in a timely manner before classes start. Only students not on campus who are enrolled in the online discussion sections in Section 2 of MATH 110 will be given online late evening attendance checks in lieu of lecture attendance checks. They must synchronously attend their online discussion sections, when quizzes will be given. All exams (midterms and final) will be offered online only to those students and only during the same times as the regular lecture times and final exams for Lecture 2 in-person students.
