Class Description
In this course, students will work in small teams to design, evaluate and document the tools we use for teaching large computer science courses. The course will focus on reviewing current computing education research, alongside surveying current practices. Students will prepare paper summaries, and a few short research-backed "playbooks" designed to be used across other courses. Topics will vary each semester, but each iteration will focus on 3-5 topics to explore as class, such as the use of asynchronous lectures, proctoring policies and platforms, and best practices for collecting late work.
