Class Description
In this course we will cover the basics of deep learning, applications in computer vision and natural language processing, and the full stack of shipping deep learning systems.
Additionally, we will cover how to pick the right problem, formulate it clearly, and estimate project cost. How to find, clean, label, and augment training data. How to pick the right deep learning framework and compute infrastructure. How to troubleshoot training and ensure reproducibility of experiments. How to keep the codebase well-tested, and deploy the trained model at scale.
We will also discuss current research directions, the structure of deep learning teams, and ethics of machine learning.
