This course is meant for students in engineering and other disciplines who seek a challenging, interactive, team-based, and hands-on learning experience in entrepreneurship and technology. In this highly experiential course, students work in simulated start-up teams to create products or start-up ideas to address a broadly-defined need of an industry partner or social challenge.

In this class, exceptional students from various majors will be working together to foster new innovations in Sports Technology and Human Performance. Cognitive ability and physical ability are core components to enjoying life. We are looking for a talented and diverse group of students and student-athletes who want to work on amazing projects that combine technology and entrepreneurship to help people accomplish their fullest potential!

Students in the Sports Tech & Human Performance Challenge Lab will be immersed in the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship concepts while working on innovative technology to address real-world challenges.

You and your team will go on an entrepreneurial journey to investigate, discover, and address challenges in areas like Physical Performance & Training, Health & Recovery, Mental Wellness & Development, Fan & Venue Engagement, Scoring & Facility Technology, Data & Analytics, and E- Sports & Gaming. Your team will then develop solutions, build product, and create ventures to solve the challenge you take on.

NOTE: In order to ensure we have a diverse group of students necessary for successful team formation, we will have an application process to select the students who will be able to enroll in the course. All interested students should enroll in the class and will be considered regardless of enrollment status or position on the waitlist. The survey link will be sent out to all students (either enrolled or on the waitlist) prior to the first class and students will be notified if they have been accepted into the course or not. Attendance at the first class is required.
