Course Catalog Description

This sequence is intended for majors in engineering and the physical sciences. An introduction to differential and integral calculus of functions of one variable, with applications and an introduction to transcendental functions.

* Lecture will be delivered live during the scheduled lecture time and recorded for playback later.

* Students will be allotted a 24-hour time window during which they can start the midterms and the final exam.

* Time conflict enrollment is allowed, but students who enroll in a class with time conflicts will need to complete the final exam within the same 24 hour window as the other enrolled students.

* Student Technology Needs: Students should have a device on which they can watch the lectures via Zoom and a keyboard to enter solutions for the exams.

Credit Restrictions

Students will receive no credit for MATH 1A after completing MATH N1A, MATH 16B, Math N16B or XMATH 1A. A deficient grade in MATH 1A may be removed by taking MATH N1A.
