Course Catalog Description
This course covers current topics of interest in civil and environmental engineering. The course content may vary from semester to semester depending upon instructor.
Class Description
This 1-unit seminar course aims to introduce students to the debates and discussions about the impact of increasing human resource consumption, increasing population, and increasing human prosperity on the planet’s environmental systems that support human societies.
The course will consist of readings, class discussions, one presentation from each student team, and one short paper (4-6 pages) about a topic selected by each student team from a curated list.
