Course Catalog Description

Additional work, for majors in Scandinavian and other qualified students with consent of instructor, in connection with one of the following: Scandinavian C107, C108, 115, 116, 117, 120,123, 125, C160,165. Students attend lectures and do all written work in the "main" course and also read assignments in the Scandinavian languages and write a short paper.

Majors who plan to enroll in this required Major Studies research course must also be simultaneously enrolled in a corresponding upper division Scandinavian course. To enroll, majors must first obtain department approval. See the Undergraduate Student Services Advisor in Scandinavian, 6303 Dwinelle Hall, to obtain an Approval Form for Enrollment in Supervised Independent Study Courses during Phase I registration. Signatures from the instructor and the undergraduate faculty advisor are required.
